3. CENTRAL MINISTER SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME -CMSS Scholarship
   

   CMSS Scholarship: - There are many students who are not able to pursue education due to their weak financial conditions. For all those students the central and state governments implement various kinds of schemes. Through these schemes, financial assistance is provided to the students. The government of Gujarat has also launched a scholarship scheme called CMSS Scholarship. Through this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the students so that they can pursue their education. This article covers all the important aspects of CMSS scholarship.

   The government of Gujarat launched CMSS Scholarship on 4th February 2022. Through this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to those students who want to pursue higher education. The beneficiaries of this scheme will also be eligible for the existing Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana. This scheme will be applicable to those students whose annual family income is up to Rs 4.50 lakh. All the students who have secured at least 60% marks in the 10th and 12th board examinations will be provided the benefit of this scholarship scheme. Through this scheme, 50% of the fixed annual tuition fees will be provided to the beneficiaries. With the implementation of this scheme, students will be able to pursue higher education without worrying about finances.

Objective of CMSS Scholarship

The main objective of the CMSS Scholarship is to provide scholarships to the students of Gujarat who want to pursue higher education. Now all those students of Gujarat who want to pursue higher education but due to their weak financial condition are unable to do so will be provided scholarships. Through this scheme, the Government is going to finance 50% of the tuition fees. All those students who have attained at least 60% marks in their 10th and 12th board examinations will be able to benefit from this scheme. This scheme will also improve the literacy rate of the state. The students will also become self-dependent with the implementation of this scheme.

Financial Assistance of CMSS Scholarship

• All those students who will get admission to the diploma course after class 10th will get the assistance of 50% of the fixed annual tuition fees or Rs 50,000 whichever is less
• Undergraduate students after a diploma will be provided 50% of the tuition fees for engineering in professional courses or Rs 100000 whichever is lower
• Those students who have secured 80% marks in the class 10th or 12th examination are qualified for MYSY Scholarship.
• Eligible Students will also be provided benefits of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana along with a CMSS scholarship

Eligibility Criteria of CMSS Scholarship

• Applicant must be a citizen of Gujarat
• The applicant must belong to OBC, SC, or ST category
• The family income of the applicant should be Rs 4.50 lakh or less
• Students must have secured at least 60% marks in their 10th and 12th board examination
• The applicant should study in any PG or UG course in the Gujarat state
